Maplewood, Missouri Firefighter, Ryan Hummert, 22, was killed by sniper fire July 21st 2008 when he stepped off his fire truck responding to a call. He is survived by his parents Andrew and Jackie Hummert.

Have a great time in Thailand Helen.

A lot of improvise on todays WOD from sunny Port Douglas. No rings therefore I did weighted pulled ups and dips. Also I got a case of shin splints in my right shin from 5k run on Tues so I can't jump. Instead of burpees I did weighted push ups.

WOD was as follows:
21 10kg pull ups and dips
21 10kg push ups

Hi all,
Just got back from a three-day hike last night, so I'm extremely happy it's a rest day today!
The hike really showed me just how grateful I should be to CFX, as I can see how much my fitness has improved from the last hikes. I flew through it while all the others were all buggered like I used to be, the hike had nothing on CrossFit workouts, even the last days big climb back up!
Just wanted to say thanks to every one at the gym, particularly Mick and Steve, I owe you one!
