I have to pick up the pace. I think I am the slowest most of the time.
Adrian,
I think you know it's not about being the fastest or slowest it's about pushing your thresholds - as long as you can say you're hitting the rev limiter...
Adrian
It's not about how fast or slow you are ... Ask youself, Am I giving it everything I have got? If the answer is Yes then great. Your times will improve as you get stronger and build up your endurance. Don't make the mistake of sacrificing form for speed. Patience pays off! Don't rush it!
I couldn't agree with you both more (Simone and Kam). I have always been capable in the explosive anarobic excercises and struggled with endurance and stamina.
I find myself regulating through out a workout when I could put in more explosive power. However I know if I expend the energy in a short spirt I would be unable to go the distance. If I pace myslef I can get a lower time over all but this defeats to purpose of pushing hard all the way even if you risk not make it through at a higher intensity.
It seems to comes back to the CrossFit principles which punish the speacialist and reward the all round 'fit'. That said my stamina has increased and I am doing stuff I never dreamt of. eg a 10km run non stop. This seemed was out of reach 11 weeks ago. So you experienced campaigners are right again. Patience is the key!
My times are definitely coming down and I can maintain a higher level of intensity for longer, just not that long YET.
Before it was less than 1/3 of a WOD at full throttle, now it is over 2/3 of a WOD at full throttle.
Speak to you all in the morning. Bring on the HSPUs (it has been over a week).

chest to bar,ground, clap overhead..
I am sort of back to a kind of training. All I can do safely now is non-explosive leg work and some limited abs work.
Today:
Ten rounds of 15 meter walking lunge, 15 meter duck walk, 25 squats for time 24:15 FB five rounds of 15 leg raises, 15 butt raises, 1 min rest.
I didn't know duck walk can burn legs that much.
Egor.

I wouldnt worry Adrian, I did this in just under 25min so your not the slowest around. But like the others said, I pushed myself to my limits still and felt that there were plenty of times I was going to throw up!
